24 Hour Football – £1,000 Raised For Suicide Prevention

Over 150 footballers from across the South East took part in HITG’s first ever 24 Hour Football Match Marathon in Canterbury last weekend.

The purpose of the match was to raise awareness of mental health and suicide prevention in local communities.

The event was supported by multiple businesses such as The Canterbury Academy, Retina Security, The Coop, Rollover, The Halfway Line, Abbott Construction, B & M Quantity Surveyors and Kreston Reeves.

Cameras from ITV News Meridian Tonight programme covered the match, with a live report which was seen across the region by hundreds of thousands viewers on Friday night.

In total £1,000 was raised to support our preventative work.

Thank you to everyone who played, volunteered, donated and supported the event.
