Head In The Game Recognised as Finalist at Kent Charity Awards
4th September 2026
Head In The Game was incredibly proud to be named as one of four finalists for Mental Health Charity of the Year at this year’s Kent Charity Awards. Following our success in winning Startup Charity of the Year in 2025, being recognised again just 12 months later, in such an important and highly competitive category, represents another significant milestone in our development as a charity.
While the award wasn’t ours on the night, we would like to offer our warmest congratulations to The Kenward Trust, who were deservedly named Mental Health Charity of the Year. We were privileged to share the category with organisations doing outstanding work and to spend an evening surrounded by so many charities making a genuine difference to individuals, families and communities across Kent.
Events such as the Kent Charity Awards are about far more than winning. They provide an important opportunity for the sector to come together, celebrate the work taking place across the county, build relationships and, crucially, share ideas and best practice. For Head In The Game, being part of that conversation and having our work recognised alongside so many established and respected organisations is something we value enormously.

We are immensely proud of being finalists, but with our focus unchanged. Every day, our staff, coaches and volunteers continue to use sport to improve mental fitness, reduce isolation & help prevent suicide within our communities.
The recognition is wonderful, but it is the work and the people we support that will always matter most. Being recognised at this level gives us even greater motivation to keep developing, reaching new communities & ensuring that more people have access to the support they need. We are incredibly proud of how far Head In The Game has come, but we remain ambitious about how much more we can achieve.
