Head In The Game and Kimberly Clark Team Up to Build a Mentally Fitter Workplace

Over the last few months, Head In The Game has been proud to work alongside the team at Kimberly Clark in Ebbsfleet, delivering a series of Mental Fitness Sports Days as part of our No Substitute for Support workplace programme.

The sessions have brought staff together through a combination of physical activity and mental fitness conversations, creating an engaging and supportive environment where colleagues can connect, challenge themselves, and learn practical ways to look after their mental wellbeing.

Our ‘No Substitute for Support’ programme is designed to help organisations create healthier, more connected workplaces by using the power of sport and physical activity to open up conversations around mental health. The programme recognises that good mental health is not just about responding when someone is struggling, it is about giving people the tools, confidence, and support to stay mentally fit every day.

Throughout the programme, Kimberly Clark employees have taken part in a range of team based sporting activities that have encouraged communication, collaboration, and problem solving. Alongside the physical activities, participants have explored practical mental fitness techniques including skills like building resilience, that they can use both in the workplace and in their everyday lives.

By combining movement with meaningful conversations, the sessions have helped strengthen relationships between colleagues, improve teamwork, and reinforce the importance of supporting one another. Creating opportunities for staff to connect outside of their usual working environment has also helped build a more positive and inclusive workplace culture.

At Head In The Game, we believe there is no substitute for support. Investing in the mental fitness of employees not only benefits individuals, but also helps organisations create happier, healthier, and more productive workplaces.

We would like to thank everyone at Kimberly Clark for embracing the programme with such enthusiasm and commitment. It has been fantastic to see so many staff getting involved, supporting one another, and prioritising their mental fitness.

We look forward to continuing our partnership and helping even more workplaces recognise that when we invest in people’s mental wellbeing, everyone benefits.
