No Substitute For Support
Mental health is a critical aspect of overall wellbeing, yet it is often overlooked or stigmatised. The statistics are alarming: 1 in 4 people will suffer from a mental health condition in their lifetime, and the biggest killer of individuals between the ages of 25 and 55 in the UK is suicide. 1 in 5 employees will suffer from a period of poor mental health during any two year period, 12% of supporters at any football league match are currently experiencing suicidal ideation. These figures highlight a pressing need for support and intervention.
However, it doesn’t have to be this way. There is hope and there are effective strategies that can make a significant difference. At Head In The Game, we believe in the power of building resilient and robust mental fitness strategies to foster positive mental health. Our charity is dedicated to eradicating suicide and improving mental fitness within communities. By using mental fitness as a powerful tool, we help individuals understand the science behind their mental processes and develop healthier coping mechanisms.
We invite you to join us and the numerous clubs, trusts, business’s and organisations that have already benefited from our frontline programmes, corporate mental health training, talks and support groups. Together, we can create environments where mental health is prioritised, openly discussed, and effectively managed. Our comprehensive approach involves close collaboration with clubs and organisations to tailor our support to their unique needs. By implementing our six key commitments, we help build cultures of openness, promote individual wellbeing, empower teams, engage communities, invest in mental fitness education, and continuously measure progress.
